Dashboard Reference

This document is a reference for the Dashboard screen of the ADP Car Market Hub plugin (CMH Center → Dashboard, admin.php?page=as24ci-dashboard). The Dashboard is the landing page of the plugin: clicking the top-level CMH Center menu always opens it. It gives a dealership a single, read-only overview of inventory health, recent activity and anything that needs attention, with quick links into the relevant screens.

When to use this document

Read this when you want to understand the figures and panels on the Dashboard, what each status means, and where each "Open …" link takes you. The Dashboard does not change any data — it only summarises it, so it is a safe place to start every working day.

Overview

The Dashboard is read-only. Its figures are cached for a few minutes for performance, so a change you make elsewhere (for example a fresh import) can take a moment to appear here. If the first-time setup has not been completed, a Run Setup Wizard button is shown at the top; after the wizard is completed a short "setup complete" confirmation appears. See Setup Wizard Reference.

The page is a stack of cards: a row of KPI tiles, then several information panels.

Requirements or prerequisites

  • A user with the plugin's management capability.
  • Some panels only fill in once there is data — after vehicles are imported, leads are received, or analytics is enabled.

KPI tiles (top row)

TileWhat it shows
Vehicles PublishedNumber of vehicles currently live on the website.
New Vehicles (7 days)Vehicles added in the last seven days.
New Leads (7 days)Customer inquiries received in the last seven days.
Last ImportWhen the most recent import ran, or No data yet.
Import StatusA health summary: Running normally, Needs attention, or Not configured.
Average Listing PriceThe average price across priced vehicles, with an Open Market Insights link (or Not available yet when there is no priced inventory).

Information panels

Vehicle Readiness

Answers "are your vehicles complete and ready to be shown to customers?" It shows a Readiness Score percentage (colour-coded from good to poor) and how many of your vehicles are ready, followed by a breakdown table:

RowMeaning
PublishedVehicles visible on the site.
Draft / Not visibleVehicles not currently shown.
Without imagesVehicles missing images.
Without priceVehicles missing a price.
Without descriptionVehicles missing a description.

An Open Car Importer link takes you to where you can fix these. See Car Importer Reference.

Needs Attention

A dynamic, actionable checklist of issues worth reviewing, each with a deep link to the right screen. Typical items include: no Seller ID configured, a failing API connection, inventory not updated recently, no vehicles imported yet, no new vehicles in the last week, draft vehicles present, vehicles without images/price/description, analytics turned off, and recent log errors. When everything is fine it reads No action needed. Everything looks good.

Top Brands

The most represented makes in your imported inventory (top five), as a simple bar view. Empty until vehicles are imported.

Inventory & Customer Interest

Two 30-day bar charts side by side — New Vehicles and Views. The Views chart requires analytics to be enabled; if it is off, the panel says so and links to the Analytics Reference area. If there is not yet enough data, a short placeholder message is shown instead.

Business Snapshot

A pricing overview (Average Price, Highest Price, Lowest Price, Vehicles Priced) plus a recent import summary (Last Import, Vehicles Imported, Vehicles Updated, Errors).

Top Performing Vehicles

A table of the vehicles with the strongest customer interest (Vehicle, Views, Leads). This requires analytics to be enabled; otherwise it explains how to turn it on.

Recent Leads

The most recent customer inquiries (Customer, Vehicle, Date), each linking to the lead for follow-up. See Leads Reference.

Operational notes

  • The Dashboard never changes data; every action it offers is a link into another screen.
  • Figures are cached for a few minutes. After an import or settings change, allow a short delay (or revisit later) for the tiles to refresh.
  • Panels that depend on analytics (Customer Interest views, Top Performing Vehicles) stay empty until analytics is enabled.

Troubleshooting

  • Import Status shows "Not configured". No Seller ID / API connection is set up yet. Complete the API Connection card in Settings Reference.
  • Average Listing Price shows "Not available yet". No priced vehicles are imported yet. Import inventory first.
  • Customer interest / top performers are empty. Analytics is off or has no data yet. Enable it on the Analytics Reference screen.
  • A figure looks out of date. The Dashboard caches data for a few minutes; wait briefly and reload.
