AutoScout24 API Import

Connect the official AutoScout24 API in a few clear steps

AutoScout24 import is optional. When you want it, ADP Car Market Hub talks directly to the official AutoScout24 API, configured inside WordPress through one settings card. Enter the API Base URL, your Seller ID and OAuth credentials, choose a currency and save. You can also add vehicles by hand in the backend.

  • API source Official AutoScout24 API
  • Authentication OAuth 2.0 client credentials
  • Configured in WordPress admin
  • Verification Built-in connection test

Straightforward by design

A focused settings card, not a technical hurdle

The plugin asks only for what the AutoScout24 API actually needs. Everything fits into one card on the WordPress Settings page, so the operator can connect, verify and move on to importing inventory.

  • One settings card. API Base URL, Seller ID, Client ID, Client Secret and the default currency live together, no scattered configuration.
  • Familiar admin experience. Native WordPress form fields, native validation, the standard Save Settings flow, no external dashboard to learn.
  • Verifiable in one click. After saving, the API Connection Test under Tools confirms reachability, OAuth and Seller ID recognition before the first import.

Setup flow

Four steps from credentials to first import

The same flow that the documentation walks through, summarised at a glance. Each step happens once, on the API Connection & General Settings card.

  1. Step 01 Enter the API Base URL Paste the full HTTPS URL of the AutoScout24 environment or partner gateway provided for the dealer account. The plugin uses it exactly as configured.
  2. Step 02 Add Seller ID and OAuth credentials Enter the Seller ID (or several, comma-separated), the Client ID and the Client Secret issued by the API provider.
  3. Step 03 Choose the default currency Pick the currency that fits the dealer's market. It is used for new or updated imports that do not carry an explicit currency value.
  4. Step 04 Save settings and run the test Click Save Settings, then run the API Connection Test from Tools. A successful result confirms the site can reach the API and is ready to import.

Configuration capabilities

Practical controls, no hidden complexity

The settings card exposes the values that actually matter for connecting to AutoScout24, and nothing else. The token endpoint and audience are derived automatically from the configured API Base URL.

Configurable API Base URL

No hard-coded host. The same plugin install can target any AutoScout24 environment or partner gateway by changing one URL in the settings card.

OAuth client credentials

Authentication uses the standard OAuth 2.0 client credentials flow. The Client Secret is rendered as a password field and stored as a WordPress option.

Single or multiple Seller IDs

Aggregate listings from one Seller ID or several comma-separated Seller IDs, all queried with the same authorised credential pair.

Default currency selection

A clear dropdown decides how prices are formatted on the frontend when an imported listing does not carry its own currency value.

Automatic token handling

The OAuth token endpoint and audience are derived from the API Base URL and access tokens are cached automatically, no extra fields to maintain.

Connection test & logs

A built-in API Connection Test under Tools verifies reachability, the OAuth handshake and the first Seller ID. Detailed logs are written for every API call.

Regional & currency flexibility

One installation, adaptable to any market

Because the API Base URL and currency are configurable, the same plugin install can be pointed at the AutoScout24 environment that fits the dealer's market, and price formatting follows.

API Base URL

Adaptable to regional environments

AD Promotion does not host the AutoScout24 API. The operator configures the URL provided by AutoScout24 or by the integration partner that serves the dealer's market, for example installations targeting:

  • DEGermany
  • ATAustria
  • CHSwitzerland
  • FRFrance
  • ITItaly
  • ESSpain

Switching environments, for example moving from a sandbox to the production API, means changing the API Base URL and credentials, then running the connection test again.

Default currency

Choose the currency that fits the inventory

The Default currency dropdown sits in the same settings card. It is applied to new or updated imports that do not provide their own currency value.

  • EUR Euro
  • CHF Swiss Franc
  • GBP Pound Sterling

Existing posts keep their stored currency. The default currency only affects imports without an explicit currency value.

Controlled inside WordPress

The dealership owns the configuration and the imported content

There is no embedded external dashboard. Credentials are stored as WordPress options, the connection test lives next to the settings card and imported vehicles become native WordPress content the team controls.

  • Configured by the team that runs the site Any WordPress administrator can open the settings card, update credentials and re-test the connection without external tooling.
  • Credentials stored in WordPress options Values live in the site's own database under standard administrator access controls, no third-party storage involved.
  • Token cache resets on demand After rotating credentials, the cached OAuth token can be cleared from Tools so the next request uses the new values immediately.
  • Imported content stays native Vehicles arrive as standard WordPress posts that can be edited, extended and surfaced through the site's own templates.
