Automatic freshness
Recurring imports keep prices, equipment and availability aligned with AutoScout24, so the website reflects real stock at all times.
Scheduled Sync
AutoScout24 import is optional, and when you use it you can run it automatically on the cadence that fits the dealership. Pick the simple WordPress Cron trigger or the recommended Server Cron setup, set the frequency, lock in safe defaults for new vehicles and validate the data with a Dry Run before going live, all from inside WordPress.
Why scheduled sync matters
Vehicle stock changes constantly. Scheduled Sync runs the AutoScout24 import on a defined cadence, so the WordPress catalogue stays in sync with the source, without relying on someone clicking a button.
Recurring imports keep prices, equipment and availability aligned with AutoScout24, so the website reflects real stock at all times.
Sales staff stop running imports by hand. The scheduler handles every cycle while the team focuses on customers and leads.
Server Cron decouples imports from website traffic, so the schedule fires at the same time every day even on quiet sites.
Trigger method, frequency, defaults and validation all live in one Automation card inside WordPress, no hidden background behaviour.
Trigger method
Two trigger methods cover every hosting situation. WordPress Cron is built into WordPress and works without server access. Server Cron is the production-grade choice and is recommended for live dealerships.
Both methods use the same internal import runner, only the trigger differs. Switching to Server Cron disables the WP-Cron schedule automatically so the same import never runs twice.
Server Cron Setup
When Server Cron is selected, the plugin reveals a Server Cron Setup card with everything the operator needs: a two-step checklist, the REST trigger URL, a token-secured authentication scheme, and pre-filled example cron commands ready to paste into the host’s scheduler.
Visual representation. The actual REST URL, token and example commands are environment-specific and shown directly on the Automation card inside the WordPress admin.
Import Defaults
Scheduled Sync is not just about timing. The Import Defaults card decides how new vehicles are created on every automated run: post status, author, image handling, format and per-listing image cap. Set them once and the schedule honours them.
Decide whether new vehicles go live immediately or land as drafts for editorial review before they appear on the site.
Attribute every imported vehicle to a chosen WordPress user, useful for audit trails and editorial workflows.
Toggle Import Images, Convert Images to WebP and WebP Quality (10–100% in 5% steps) to balance fidelity and page weight.
Max Images per Listing controls how many images each vehicle imports, 0 means no limit, 30 is the plugin’s default for fast galleries.
Dry Run · safe validation
The Diagnostics Centre includes a Dry Run that previews what the import would write, without actually writing anything. Use it to validate the API data structure, verify the mapping and de-risk the first scheduled run on a new connection.
Operational clarity
The cockpit-style overview surfaces the next scheduled run, the last result and anything that needs attention, so the operator can see at a glance that the schedule is doing its job.
