Test Drive Booking
Structured test drive bookings, directly from the vehicle page
Visitors pick a day and a time slot on the native vehicle detail page and submit a request that already carries the full vehicle context. Administrators stay in full control of availability, days, time window, slot duration and blocked dates, directly inside WordPress.
How the booking flow works
From vehicle interest to confirmed appointment
Every test drive starts on a real vehicle page and follows the same predictable path. The visitor picks a day and a time slot, the request lands with the full vehicle context attached, and the dealer follows up to confirm the appointment.
- Vehicle page Visitor opens a native vehicle detail page and chooses to book a test drive on that exact car.
- Day & time slot Visitor selects an available day and a time slot, only days and slots configured by the dealer are offered.
- Submit request The request is submitted with the vehicle context, the chosen slot and the visitor’s contact details.
- Dealer follow up The dealer receives a structured booking request and confirms the appointment with the visitor.
On the vehicle page
Frontend booking, tied to the actual vehicle
The booking interface lives directly on the vehicle detail page, so the visitor never loses sight of the car they are interested in. Day, date, time slot and contact details combine into a single request the dealer can act on.
Inside the WordPress admin
Availability and scheduling rules, fully under operator control
Operators configure the entire booking structure from a single Test Drive settings panel: master toggle, available days, time window, slot duration and blocked dates. No external calendar service required.
Two views, one connected workflow
Visitor convenience meets operator control
Visitors only see the slots that match the dealer’s real availability. Operators only see the settings, never a generic calendar widget. The two views stay perfectly aligned because they share the same source of truth inside WordPress.
Test drive booking capabilities
The practical building blocks the dealer team uses to offer a structured booking experience without external tools or third-party calendar services.
Vehicle-aware booking
Every test drive request is tied to the specific vehicle the visitor was viewing, make, model, price and stock reference travel with the submission.
Day and date selection
Visitors choose a real date directly on the vehicle page, with past dates and non-working days kept out of reach by design.
Configurable time windows
A start time and an end time define the daily booking window, and time slots are generated dynamically inside that window.
Adjustable slot duration
Slot duration is configurable in minutes, so the dealer can match the booking grid to the realistic length of a test drive appointment.
Blocked dates for closures
Holidays, training days and showroom closures can be blocked centrally so they never appear as bookable dates on the frontend.
Dealer-ready requests
Each submission includes the vehicle context, the chosen slot and the visitor’s contact details, ready for dealer follow up inside the same Leads workflow.
Why structured booking matters
A premium booking moment for both sides
Visitors act when interest is at its peak, dealers receive qualified booking intent in a structured form, and operational effort stays low because availability is controlled centrally.
For visitors
A clear, modern booking moment on the exact vehicle they are interested in, no detour through a separate form, no waiting for a callback to find a slot.
For dealers
Higher-intent requests with the vehicle context, the chosen slot and the contact details attached, and one place inside WordPress to keep availability under control.
