Car Archive

A native vehicle archive visitors actually enjoy browsing

A real WordPress archive page with configurable Grid or List presentation, filters above the results, sorting, badges and a fully controllable archive card layout, all owned by the dealership and indexable by search engines.

How visitors browse the inventory

Filters sit directly above the results, paired with a keyword search, sort order, results per page, a result count, and a Grid / List view switch. Every interaction updates the URL so visitors can share or bookmark their refined search.

Car Archive experience

Why the Car Archive matters

The archive is where every visitor meets the inventory. It must look polished, react to filters and sorting in milliseconds, work on mobile, and stay fully under operator control, without depending on an external feed iframe.

Native WordPress page

The archive is a real WordPress page with shareable, indexable URLs, not an iframe or a hidden third-party widget.

Marketplace style browsing

Visitors get the familiar layout they already know from large car marketplaces: filters on top, results below, switchable Grid or List view.

Operator owned layout

Dealers and agencies decide which fields appear on each archive card, in what order, and which badges visitors see.

Grid view and List view, side by side

Operators choose Grid, List, or both. When both are enabled, visitors can switch with the view toggle in the toolbar. The list excerpt length is configurable from 0 to 500 characters.

Archive cards visitors can read at a glance

Each archive card shows the fields that matter, price, mileage, year, fuel type, transmission, condition, power, body type, exterior color, plus favorite and compare actions. The Layout Manager controls which elements appear and in what order.

Operator control in the Layout Manager

The Layout Manager exposes two paired panels for the archive: Car Archive Cards (which fields appear and in what order) and Archive Layout Settings (grid columns, default sort, results per page, layout type, list excerpt length).

Badges, labels and visual signals

Badges highlight key context on archive cards: vehicle condition, special offers, and dealer-defined labels. Operators choose which badges appear and customize their appearance from the Badges and Labels panel.

Why a native archive beats an embedded feed

A native WordPress archive gives operators full control over presentation, search engines real content to index, and visitors a faster, more familiar browsing experience than a third-party iframe can deliver.

Native WordPress archive

Real pages, real templates, real WordPress hooks. The archive lives where the rest of the site lives.

Indexable and theme controlled

Every filtered URL is crawlable. The active theme styles the layout, so the archive matches the brand instead of fighting against it.

Structured browsing

Filters above the results, a clear toolbar, and a Grid or List view that matches the visitor’s preferred browsing style.

Familiar marketplace style

Layout, badges and card structure follow patterns visitors already recognize from large vehicle marketplaces.

Stronger than embedded feeds

No iframe limitations, no opaque third-party styling, no SEO penalty for hidden content, every listing belongs to the dealership.

Operator control end to end

Card fields, sort defaults, page size, badges and view modes are all configurable from the WordPress admin.
